Andrew Wright is best known as the founder of Franklin Street, but the real estate executive has expanded his reach in recent years.

Wright partnered with Tampa restaurateur Jeff Gigante to form Next Level Brands, a hospitality company bringing new restaurants to Westshore and Water Street. Wright’s investment firm Ally Capital has redeveloped the former Austin Center into Westshore City Center.

In a commercial real estate landscape increasingly dominated by a few industry giants, Franklin Street manages to hold its own as an independent firm.

He stepped down as CEO of Franklin Street on Jan. 3, but remains chairman of the board and retains a controlling interest in the company.
